I've always loved playing Chess. Since high school, I always had the goal of modeling a 3D Chess set, the right way.

I did this set fairly recently after learning Blender, so modeling wasn't easy.

Most of the pieces were made starting with a circle, and extruding it up / scaling it in and out to match the piece profile.
Modeling Process 3
The Knight, however, was modeled using sculpting. I didn't do this correctly, however, and ended up with millions of poly's. I later optimized the file, but it wasn't easy!
