Cyberpunk Bottles
Cyberpunk Bottles
While re-learning some core skill in 3D modeling, I wanted to take a deeper dive into UV Wrapping on models.
Label Design
After unwrapping the UV coordinates of the models I made, I created labels for every single bottle. The labels were all made in Illustrator.
Label Inspirations
Funny enough, the labels were inspired by things I was interested in at the time of making. For instance, I had just recently watched the Matrix, hence the Matrix bottle.
Scene Set-Up
Making the bottles and all is one thing, but creating interesting and believable lighting is another.
Scene Set-Up Part 2
I took a lot of time looking at images of other places where bottles of drinks are sold, how they're lit, how photos are taken, etc. to come up with this layout and the angles I used in renders.
Wrong Process?
In order to make the scene feel 'full' I basically arrayed the bottles multiple times on multiple axis's. The scene got bogged down fairly heavily because of this, so I'm studying other ways of doing this with less poly-heavy results.
